Karyn Sanders Cunliffe Memorial Fund

On Friday, November 13, 2020, Karyn Sanders Cunliffe left this life and went on to her next adventure, whatever that may be. She was surrounded by medical professionals who were doing everything they could to keep her here and she had the company and comfort of her husband, Troy, as she passed. To say she will be missed is grossly understating the impact the loss of her has on those that knew and loved her. Karyn was a force of nature and she lived life with a passion and intensity few could match. She loved what life had to offer and she has already left a huge void in those lives she touched.

Karyn was the soul mate and best friend of Troy and she was a wonderful bonus-mom to Tristan. Her family brought her so much joy. She also loved the arts and music. When she accepted the position of Controller at the Utah Symphony, it was like her dreams were realized.  In her free time, she would create beautiful jewelry and accessories and enjoyed teaching Tristan new and interesting ways to express himself through crafts and art.  Karyn also had a flair for fashion and would choose shoes for the ensemble and not necessarily for the activity, which led to attempting to ride a bike in spike heels or navigating icy slopes with some killer knee-high boots.

Karyn’s sudden illness and death has turned her family’s lives topsy-turvy and the last few weeks of hands-on care and multiple hospital visits have taken a financial toll. This Go Fund Me is being set up to offset the costs of burial and end-of-life expenses, as well as to give Troy and Tristan time to process their loss before having to make immediate and major structural changes to their living situation.
