Feed Flatbush

Feed Flatbush is providing home cooked food, grocery gift cards, and necessary items to neighborhood families experiencing food insecurity.
While each recipient family's need is unique, most have one or more members in quarantine due to COVID-19 and/or are unable to source sufficient food due to COVID-19 related job losses.
Outreach, ingredient sourcing, and cooking is being coordinated through an affiliation of staff and parents from PS 139. Feed Flatbush is not connected to PS 139 but shares the school's goal of protecting and supporting our diverse community.
Our first delivery provided over 100 meals. The second, 2 weeks later, provided 120. We are now moving to weekly deliveries and expect the required number of meals to grow.
We need your financial support to purchase ingredients and delivery supplies.
Feed Flatbush operates strictly as a volunteer organization with no overhead. All donations will be applied directly to food and supply purchases, and all donors will receive weekly detailed summaries of the week's funds raised and spent. When this crisis ends or there is no longer unmet need among our community, any remaining funds in this account will be donated to City Harvest.
