Help Trinity VDP Make One Hundred Hampers

The Trinity Vincent de Paul Society (VDP) is on a mission to brighten the mood of hundreds of people this Winter, and we need your help!
We want to make 100+ hampers for 100+ households in need of a helping hand, hampers that include quality food items such as luxury jams and coffee, as well as gifts such as vouchers, clothes, and toys.
Why?
Well, VDP serves hundreds of people in the surrounding community of Trinity College, Dublin on a weekly basis, including children, teenagers, adults with additional support needs, older persons, and people experiencing homelessness. We achieve this by running social clubs in which student volunteers and participants come together over a cup of tea, go on exciting day trips, or even go on weekends away to adventure centres around Ireland. We also provide volunteers to emergency accommodation facilities in Dublin City.
We’re a very busy bunch, but it’s a whole lot of fun and every minute is worthwhile!
However
The ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic has halted most of these charitable activities as many of those with whom we work are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus.
But we don’t want Covid-19 to hamper our humanity!
We are steadfastly determined to continue helping these people, many of whom have become friends, by giving them something special this Winter.
All of the money raised will go towards purchasing items for our hampers, assembling and distributing them to the various households of our service users, as well as purchasing presents for people availing of Depaul’s emergency accommodation services over the Winter.
In total, we forecast that we can make this happen if we fundraise €20,000, so please give us a hand, if you can!
We will need to have fundraised this amount by Friday, 18th December to ensure that each of our targeted households can receive a special something in time for the holiday period.
These hampers will go a long way toward brightening the lives of our service users, all of whom we miss dearly, and many of whom have contacted us for support with their financial and emotional struggles arising from the effects of the Pandemic.
To help make someone’s day this Winter would mean the world to us, and even the smallest donation on your behalf would help spread wonder and magic across the lives of people in need.
