Ricky's Road to Recovery

Ricky was in a horrible accident in the early morning hours of November 6th; where he remained pinned in his truck for five hours before being both found and rescued. He was taken to the Legacy Emanuel Trauma Center in Portland where he was taken to surgery for six hours and placed on heart and lung bypass to repair the inside layers that had torn in his Aorta. He then went through another five hour surgery to repair his fractured right hip. He also suffered a fractured sternum, fractured all of his ribs, injured his spleen, and suffered a pneumothorax. He spent five days in the Cardiac ICU and then to the Cardiac floor. Ricky needs our help. His recovery will be long and painful. He won't be able to work for the foreseeable future and his mom will have to become his fulltime caregiver when he goes home. He won't be able to bare weight for the next eight weeks.
