Eileen Kwan's medical expenses
Donation protected
Eileen was feeling confused and having balance issues in early June. She went to the hospital and was diagnosed with brain metastases. It was not clear where they were coming from. A few days later when symptoms got worse she was taken to UCSF where they have diagnosed her with lung cancer and are treating the brain metastases.
She is currently at an acute rehab facility in San Francisco where she is recovering her physical and neurological skills with good improvement. She will be having on going treatments at UCSF while she recovers at the rehab center. A prognosis is still in the works of how to address the lung cancer, but it looks like she will be returning home to receive it in coordination with UCSF. She is in good hands and doing well.
If Eileen continues with rapid improvement she will be coming home soon, possibly as soon as June 26. Due to her stability issues and upcoming treatments, we are looking to raise funds for some health care retrofits for her house (i.e. paved level walkway to house and bathroom bars, etc) which is recommended for her return home. She will also be traveling a lot back and forth for treatments so funds will cover those expenses.
Eileen has touched so many lives in the community. She is a tough wiley woman, but could use the help to ease this situation for her and Butch. Any help is appreciated and we have received much care and concern from a great number of people near and far. We thank all those and appreciate all the healing vibes that can be sent her way.
Upon returning Eileen and Butch may need help with tasks and care. We have already had some people offer to run errands or do whatever is needed. If this is how you can help, due to financial times being complicated for all, we are happy for that support and help too. Please contact Jess through facebook messenger or via gofundme contact.
