Sunday Trans activist and advocate Shaun O’Connor was invited to what was supposed to be a family cookout but turned out to be a trap. In Ms. O’Connors words “I was meticulously attacked by a group. I was maliciously beaten with poles as they screamed “You Faggy Bitch”
As I laid there in my own blood withstanding the beating that was upon me all I could wonder was “is this how other trans women felt as they were savagely beaten and than killed”!?
I prayed to God in those devastating minutes “God Please Let Me Make It Through”“
She awoke Monday morning in the hospital with staples in her skull, 3 fractured ribs, Both wrist fractured, a broken leg that has to be corrected with surgery and more bruises than the doctors could actually count.
Ms. O’Connor will not be able to work any time in the foreseeable future after the tragic attack but life still goes on i ask community to stand in solidarity with Her by pouring into her life and help her so she wont have to worry about having food or a place to stay while going through the corrective surgeries and physical therapy lets show up for someone who has shown up countless times for her community
P.S. Out of respect for Ms O’Connor we did not post the rest of the bruises
