Save Gymnastics Evolution from closing

Gymnastics Evolution was founded from scratch in 2017. Through sweat, tears, and heartbeats it opened and began a slow but steady fill of aspiring gymnasts. By January of 2018 the gym had a girls competitive team built and ready to begin competitions. By the middle of 2018 the gym was able to open up to offering parkour and to begin developing a boys competitive team. In 2019 the boys team began competing.

We got certified to be a home-school gym for home-school children to get their gym credits through Harmony online home-school. We love our military and offer military discounts, and became a partner with the “Our Military Children” program, this is a program that pays for activities for children of deployed military parents.

We have started an awesome licenced program called Sweet Peas, we are the only gym in our state that begins working with children in gymnastics as early as 6 months old. Sweet Peas Educational Gymnastics curriculum helps forge the architecture of a child's brain that will serve him or her for a lifetime. We also offer free classes from birth to walking as part of the Sweet Peas program that we would like to continue to do for the community.

The gym hit a small snag in the summer of 2019 when the head coach was in an accident and enrollment lessened for summer vacations. Fall of 2019 saw the gymnasts starting to come back and get excited for another fun season of gymnastics.

Unfortunately like so many others starting in January of 2020 Covid-19 began to hit business, and enrollment began to decline. Half way into March the gym was forced to close until the second week of May. Even though the gym was allowed to open, many have chosen not to return just yet. This has greatly impacted our ability to sustain the gym during the summer months when enrollment is down.

This has taken a large toll on the gym’s overhead abilities and we have been forced to cut our coaches hours, and have had to delay the purchase of much needed new equipment for our programs. We were also ready to sponsor a gymnast on team to help her family pay for the fees that go along with competing, and almost able to sponsor a second girl.

The financial goal that we would like to achieve will help us continue to pay our staff their normal pay while still on limited hours and to get our equipment updated to meet the needs of the growing skills of our gymnasts.  Also to keep the rent current during this time of lower enrollment, and to sponsor one to two of our lower income gymnasts so that they can compete this coming 2021 season, and so that we can still be here for all of our amazing gymnasts and their families when they return at the end of this pandemic.

The government assistance applications came back with only a couple of months of assistance and that did not include money for employees.

Please help.  We do not want to have to close Gymnastics Evolution's doors.
