Hiking for Mental Health
With mental health being such a prevalent issue amongst young men in the north west, we want to complete a challenge to assist the fight against it. We will be hiking up three of England’s tallest mountains (Scafell Pike – 978m, Skiddaw – 931m and Helvellyn – 950m). In doing this, we will be walking just under 30km, completing a total climbing ascent of 2530 metres. We are aiming to achieve this, including travelling between the three start points, in under 20 hours!
We have three desired outcomes:
1. To raise money for a local charity that fight every day to improve the mental health of our town.
2. To raise awareness of mental health and alleviate some of the stigma surrounding men opening up about their struggles with it.
3. To promote an effective method of improving mental health – exercising outdoors!

If anyone else fancies joining in, feel free to give us a shout for more information - the more the merrier.
Lastly, we are currently planning on completing it by driving ourselves to the lake district from Blackpool and between the start points. If anyone would be willing to help us out as a driver (plus a little bit of walking if you fancy it) please give me a shout.
ONE LOVE!
