We at ICSTARS passionately believe that Black Lives Matter- and even more so that Black Children’s Lives Matter. They are the future of their nations and communities.
Black children face a uniquely high exposure to poverty not just in the US but also in most developing countries. More than 265 million children and youth, mostly black- in high poverty, developing countries cannot read, write or do basic math, even though half of them have attended school for at least four years. An education is essential for their well being and for lifting up their communities and nations.
Young African Children in Kenya are also subject to COVID-19 and a lack of a stable environment to provide a good EDUCATION and access to healthcare. They need school buildings, desks, covid-19 test kits, food and water- which they need in order to improve their opportunity for education in a better environment
