Help Shannyn Get to Safety

Shannyn has had previous donation campaigns, including on GoFundMe, but none of them have been sustainable enough for her to have a stable living. Shannyn is a Black transgender woman in the DMV and she is currently experiencing homelessness. She has health conditions that require her to get medications on a regular basis. Often, Shannyn has to make the difficult decision to what essential(s) she is going to dedicate funds to, from food to life-sustaining prescriptions. She was staying at a place where they would accept rent on a weekly basis, but was kicked out last night (June 26th). 

The goal of this GoFundMe is for Shannyn to be able to acquire consistent housing (at least for the next month, but ideally for the rest of the year) and have funds for her food supply, medications, personal items like clothing, and toiletries. Please help Shannyn get the life that she deserves. There are countless risks that she faces while being out on the streets, many of which she has been a survivor of. 

I met Shannyn about a year ago and have maintained contact with her through Facebook.  She wanted me to start this GoFundMe on her behalf, in part because she does not currently have a bank account. Any and all funds raised will go directly to Shannyn to ensure her safety. If you cannot or prefer not to use GoFundMe, you can donate to my Cash App at $RanaSays or Venmo at Rana-Saeed. Shannyn does have a Cash App card, so I can redirect funds from my Cash App directly to her. Her Cash App tends to have technical issues at times, which is why we are going through mine. I want to be fully transparent, but also protect Shannyn's privacy as she is part of the most vulnerable in our community.
