To say it is difficult getting your life back on track when you are newly sober is an understatement. Most people entering a Structured Living environment have absolutely NOTHING when they come in and feel completely shattered to their core. Having essential things such as a toothbrush, towel, toiletries, medication etc. can be nearly impossible to afford when getting your life back on track. 

When I came into a structured living environment I was completely heartbroken, scared, lonely, had no self-esteem and had little hope. It is VERY HARD to asks for things that we need when we are new. This is because you feel like a burden and you're in a whole new environment with people you've never met, so it is not comfortable to asks for these things. Even the simplest things like someone offering me shampoo or a razor, made me feel welcomed, prioritzed, and let's face it hygienically better.
