Edge2Barry

The Edge Academy is an Alternative Provision in Northfield, Birmingham for students aged 11 - 16. Our students come from all over Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell and Worcestershire.

We respect that all of our young people are individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and life-experiences. We passionately believe that by assisting them to overcome their personal barriers, they should be entitled and READY to access the full-range of opportunities available in society.

Each year we take our students on a trip to the seaside.  Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, this year, we can't. Therefore, staff and students alike are completing a virtual trip from The Edge Academy to Barry Island and back to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
We can travel the distance by any means possible by walking, running, cycling or swimming (and any other safe, humorous way you can think of!)

More information about Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity: Birmingham Children's Hospital provides a wide range of health services to children and adolescents from across the UK. The Hospital has an international reputation in areas such as liver transplantation, cardiac surgery and neonatal surgery. Pioneering developments include the first ever successful paediatric triple transplant and a system which provides image-guided surgery for children with brain tumours. Donations are used to support the continuation of this important work.
