Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival (LICMF) is an annual summer festival hosting internationally renowned artists in chamber concerts throughout the county of Lincolnshire. Until lockdown in March 2020, we also presented monthly lunchtime concerts in Lincoln through the year. We are hoping to re-start lunchtime concerts probably in 2022; sooner if we can.
Like many summer arts festivals, LICMF had to cancel their Summer Festival 2020. We took the decision to host free online events during Summer Festival week. You can still watch Virtual Festival 2020 on Youtube here . If you have enjoyed these performances, please do consider donating.
The 2020 Festival was themed to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the sailing of the 'Mayflower' to the New World with the religious freedom seeking Separatists, originally from the English East Midlands, who founded a colony in Massachusetts.
In 2021, small green shoots of cultural recovery are emerging: our socially distanced Festival 2021 'Love and Loss' will reflect some of the music of the time of the 'Mayflower' voyage and since that period. But, with socially distanced and hence smaller audiences, our ticket income will be greatly reduced.
As an arts charity, LICMF's continued survival currently relies heavily on the generosity of donors just like you.
Any donation, no matter how big or small will mean LICMF can continue to present world-class chamber music concerts all over Lincolnshire for many years in the future.
