My sister Jenise Slaughter, age 64, died on July 6th, 2020 on her birthday at her home in Sacramento, CA after a courageous battle with Complex Regional Pain syndrome which caused her to lose the use of her left arm.
She was a loving, caring person and always gave to others without asking for anything in return. Jenise never married and did not have any children of her own but help to raise her nieces and nephews up to the time of her death. Jenise loved her family so much that she always knew what to say and do to make them happy during good and bad times. She was our rock and was always there when we needed her. Always knowing what to get her nieces and nephews for their birthdays that would make them happy. We are all sad to see her leave this earth, but we know that she is in a better place free of the pain and suffering she endured with her illness. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Besides spending time and taking care of her family, Jenise loved god and had a passion for reading, cooking, solving puzzles, playing video games especially minecraft and zoo tycoon, working with technology, watching soap operas, doings arts and crafts and decorating. Jenise forever had a spirit of love and kindness and always wanted to make sure that anyone that came into her presence felt welcome and loved. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
We are asking for donations to help pay for the burial expenses for Jenise. Being that, she was always concerned about others she never took the time for herself to make sure that her needs were met, in which this is one of them the need for burial expenses. We have put on hold the memorial because we will need to raise the balance of the money needed to help pay for her final resting place. It would be greatly appreciated if we could raise the money soon so that our family may feel a sense of comfort once Jenise is laid to rest. The funds will be handled by her youngest sister Angel and will be paid directly to the funeral home for all expenses incurred.
