UES Keeping Our Kids First

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Sponsors and Friends,

What a whirlwind the past four months has created for our school system.  The COVID pandemic has introduced many challenges including (but not limited to) to the future of our own professional careers, stressors of home schooling/after school care for our kids, will school be opening in August AND (most importantly) will our kids be safe.    

As parents of UES students, Paul McClenahan and I are starting a call to action to ask for help in preparation for this coming school year.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  Funding for our school continues to be limited.  UES will possibly not receive any federal funds for relief because we are not a Title One school.  We service roughly 1100 children each year and the needs are endless.  Private schools can increase tuition; UES cannot.  BUT….what we can do is pull together as parents, grandparents, friends, and sponsors of such a great school.  NOW IS THAT TIME.  Items needed are as followed: 

1) Clorox Wipes  - Think about the amount of Clorox wipes it takes to care students year around.    

2) Hand Sanitizer - The school is trying to work out a deal with a local company to provide hand sanitizing stations around the school.  The  cost is an estimated $800/month.  

3) Thermal Thermometers  - These will be mandated in every classroom and run about $50/ per thermometer. We need roughly 75 of them.   

4) Clear face shields and plastic barriers to make sure protective measures are in place

5) Other things include 1:1 technology, extra masks, etc.   

We are asking for your help.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  The cost factor is a real challenge and now is the time to help.  In the coming weeks, please share this GoFundMe page with others that would be willing to help.  Help us face this challenge head on so our UES faculty can focus on the education of our children.   Even if a small amount, YOU are still helping!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our fundraising chair, Kristy Dye .  We CAN and WILL do this!  Thank you, in advance, for your support.
