Robert “Butch “Crawford

Robert "Butch" Crawford, a professional photographer and his wife Linda, are used to Butch being gone from home a bit with his photography assignments.
But on June 25th, a beautiful Aiken, South Carolina, Thursday, the day suddenly
turned horrendous. Butch was in an extremely serious car crash. All the
bones in both legs are broken: his ankles, feet, toes and left arm broken
also, many are compound fractures, and his sternum is fractured. His
Doctors said he was lucky to be alive. Linda, after getting that phone call
from the Augusta University Trauma Center, immediately contacted their
sons, along with her best friend and cousin, and quickly packed and drove to
Augusta. Being in total shock and not knowing any medical information on
Butch, they booked a room at the closest hotel to the hospital. After being able
to see Butch in ICU, they were informed of the severity of his injuries. Butch
would be having at least 6 more surgeries and would be in the hospital for
14-18 weeks. It would not be possible to move him back home.
Because of the severe injuries and the time he will be hospitalized, it is
important, for Linda and the boys to be with him as much as possible. The
problem...Augusta is about 300 miles or 6 hours from Ocala. It is
impossible for Linda and their sons to drive to Augusta every day, nor can
they afford to stay in a motel for that long. Hotel room prices are sky high,
as much as $150 per day, and having to eat all meals out as well.
So many people have inquired about helping them financially, so it was
decided a go fund me page would help get them that financial help. The costs
incurred with travel, lodging, food, everyday incidentals are horrendous.
That is to say nothing regarding medical expenses.
