M&A Cares - Full Plate Initiative

Due to the recent impact of COVID-19 shutting down many small businesses, schools, and various industries, many found themselves struggling to provide the basic, everyday essentials; such as hot meals. As the dire need for more economic support grew stronger and stronger in our community, we decided that enough was enough and it was time to take action. On June 1st, the Full Plate Initiative was born.
The Full Plate Initiative is a binary system for the community to combat local hunger by providing hot meals to those in need while supporting small, minority owned local restaurants.
On Saturday, July 11th, The Full Plate Initiative will kick-off a 5-part weekly series from 6-7:30pm outside the Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Center (2450 Lyttonsville Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910) near downtown Silver Spring.
Each Saturday for the next several weeks, 100+ hot ready-to-go meals will be offered to those in need; while supporting 5 different minority owned, local restaurants (1 each week). The first 100+ meals will be provided by Abstrak Cuisine; a DMV-based soul food catering company. **Since meals are limited, they will be offered, on a first come, first served basis and all recipients must be present to pick up a meal**
Mynor & Associates (a Top 1% real estate team servicing the DMV) is funding the Full Plate initiative, by providing $1,000 each week, per restaurant; totaling $5,000 (roughly 500+ hot meals). With our total contribution, we are challenging neighbors and friends in the community to get involved. We are encouraging everyone in our community to match our donation (per meal...average $10) in an effort to double the amount of hot meals provided while increasing overall revenue for these small local restaurants.
With The Full Plate Initiative, donors will know exactly where their money is going and can see an immediate impact in the community; a solution that thrives on binary involvement.
