WBIS PTA Summer Not Fair!

Covid-19 has changed school life as we know it with most children at home rather than enjoying all the usual fun of an active school life.   Whilst the school staff have worked tirelessly to ensure those in school are safe and those at home can continue to learn, our fundraising efforts have ground to a halt.   

Between March and the end of the school year in July, we usually hold two of our biggest and most popular fundraisers - Curry and Quiz and the Summer Fair.  Sadly, both have been cancelled and whilst some degree of normality is returning this type of event seems unlikely for quite some time. 

The money we would usually raise would be spent on the items they need most including new iPads, smart boards in classrooms and we were also hoping to replace many of the imaginative play toys.   We’ve also discussed what else might be needed to support our children’s well-being when they return after such an extended absence in September.   With an emphasis on re-building and reconnecting we hope to raise money to potentially support additional services and items to assist with this.
