Stand Firm With Lynda!!
Lynda Gulliver is a hard-working nurse and single mother of three beautiful children (Collin 16, Robyn 15 & Luke 7) who works for the county of San Luis Obispo. When Covid-19 hit, she was working in the Public Health Department swabbing patients, investigating and case-managing positive patients. In March/April, Lynda began feeling tired, but thought this was just from long days at work. By May, it became obvious that something was wrong... she began developing left hip pain and sharp pain in her right side. She also began to lose her ability to walk. After visiting 4 doctors and after multiple scans, it was determined on May 19th that she had metastatic breast cancer to the left hip and to both lobes of her liver. On June 1st, Lynda lost her ability to walk due to what was later determined to be a multiple fracture left hip socket.
All of this has come as quite a shock to Lynda and her family as she had prayed and hoped that her initial 2018 battle with breast cancer was complete. But, a new struggle has begun. Lynda has completed 4 rounds of high-dose radiation to her left hip to reduce pain. She is currently undergoing 4 rounds of strong chemotherapy.
But her journey will not stop there. She will need to get her hip fixed and undergo physical therapy and life-long hormonal treatments.
As you can see, Lynda and her family are in urgent need of spiritual and financial help. Lynda is a fighter as her story illustrates. In fact, our church, Grace Central Coast , made the video at the top of this page back in 2018 when she first faced breast cancer.
