Fairlight’s Fight

On July 5, Fairlight Hallock was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She is 17 and a recent homeschool graduate. She loves playing the piano, has logged hundreds of hours of training and practice, and planned to attend Baylor in the fall with the goal of eventually being a piano teacher herself. It just so happens that Fairlight has volunteered the past few years providing comfort to cancer patients by playing piano at the Baylor Scott and White McClinton Cancer Center in Waco. Fairlight’s attitude during this time has been amazing. She has had several difficult days already but has fought through them due to her relationship with Jesus, her faith, and the support and prayers of friends and family. Prior to her diagnosis one of Fairlight’s many plans was to save up to purchase her own car, a goal of $5,000. We would love to see her achieve this as she had hoped to before she reached this life hurdle. All other proceeds will go to traveling expenses to and from doctors appointments, and helping the family with any other financial needs that come up as they focus on being with Fairlight through this time.
