WPPM Virtual Arts Fest Fundraiser

Tax deductible
PhillyCAM will host its first-ever WPPM Virtual Arts Fest  on Saturday, July 18th from 1-8pm est, streaming live to WPPM 106.5 FM, PhillyCAM’s Facebook  and WPPM’s Facebook . Listeners can access WPPM’s FM stream  at phillycam.org/listen or via the TuneIn  app.

During this event, WPPM is asking for listener and viewer support. We rely on listener contributions in order to continue presenting People Powered Media on the airwaves in Philadelphia. WPPM is a noncommercial, community radio station hosted by volunteers, featuring voices underrepresented in mainstream media. To continue this work, we must cover operating costs.

Income raised from this fundraiser will pay for the equipment used to produce and transmit our radio broadcast. This includes the transmitter, antenna, tower, studio to transmitter link, emergency alert system, and the studio equipment.

Why do we need to fundraise? PhillyCAM receives grants from the cable franchise agreements to fund public access television. However, the grants do not fund the equipment for the radio station. That’s why PhillyCAM is engaging the public in grassroots fundraising to support WPPM 106.5 FM. To that end, we need your help to get the public to support PhillyCAM and invest in community radio!
