Memorial Bench for Marine Cpl Joseph P Calkins
We are Be the One Steuben and we are partnering with the family of Marine Corporal Joseph Calkins to raise money to purchase a memorial bench is his memory. We have had several benches priced and 2 of them are from Hills Monuments in Corning, NY. The benches are made of granite and are of the best quality. Ultimately the bench choice will be up to the family but we want to make sure that Joe gets the memorial he deserves and the family and community will have something to cherish for many years to come. We have posted the quote for the benches with the pictures. Any of the leftover proceeds will be given to the family to donate to a charity of choice or scholarship. We do not generally use gofundme in our fundraising efforts but this is a large project and we realize this is a trusted platform so we have decided to turn to this platform for this project.
If we fall short of our goal we do have other options. We realize these are times of uncertainty and we at Be the One Steuben and the family of Marine Corporal Joseph Calkins are forever grateful for all of your donations. Thank you so much.

In honor of Marine Corporal Joseph Calkins 2017 Graduate of Addison Jr. Sr. High school who was recently taken from his family, friends and this world, Be the One Steuben will be collecting donations to place a bench in his memory. On the bench will be a plaque dedicating the bench to him. Also if we raise enough money we will purchase a flower planter to go with the bench which will have a plaque that reads “ In honor of every Addison Knight that has served our country. Your community thanks you for your service”. All remaining proceeds will be donated to a charity or scholarship of the family's choice.
