I had to create another campaign due to the reason that my previous one was taken down due to having "personal or identifiable information", "inflammatory or accusatory statements." I have emailed gofundme as well but received no further response and decided that the best course of action would be to create another campaign.
My name is Susan Wang and I am 17 years old. On June 29th, I reached out on social media regarding my sexual assault experience with *name omitted*, who is currently a Research Associate at the Institute for Ultrafast Spectroscopy and Lasers at the City College of New York (CCNY). *Name omitted* has committed pedophilic sexual acts against me, my younger sister, as well as many underaged girls that have also begun reaching out to me.
His hideous and disgusting acts have caused me and the other victims to have trauma and severe mental health issues as well. Because of this incident, I suffered with depression, turned to self harm, as well as attempted suicide. The constant shame of my body and the fear of retaliation from *name omitted* scared me and I stayed silent for over two years. I have brought up this case to the NYPD but unfortunately, that ended disappointingly. *name omitted* got off the hook with a mere misdemeanor and wasn't even charged with it and continues to work and prey on underage girls and students to this day. (While he has been removed from CCNY and CUNY Research, I believe he still should be charged for his actions). I find this awfully sickening and disgusting.
I hope to reopen this case with a better legal action team in order to get *name omitted* punished accordingly. In my previous experience trying to get justice, I relied on a public attorney, which ultimately was unsuccessful in getting *name omitted* labeled as a sex offender. The goal is to reopen the case and get him properly charged. In order to do so, I need to be well equipped with a suitable legal team. As I do not have the means to retain these legal services on my own, I am requesting assistance to pay for it. Any support is greatly appreciated.
