Help us heal Gwen Corrado-Pomroy’s “BIG HEART”

Those of you who know my mother through veterinary care, know that she has a BIG HEART. You know she answers your calls 24/7 and goes above and beyond to care for your furbeans.  She has always done this with great passion. Those of you who consider her a friend know that she is always there to help when needed.  Well, this BIG HEART of hers needs your help right now! On July 11th, she unknowingly suffered her first heart attack at home.  After arriving to work on July 13th, she was taken to the hospital after being in  continued pain, which was actually her second heart attack.  During a procedure in the Cath lab to install a stent, she suffered a major heart attack that she only survived by having immediate medical assistance.  After a six day hospital stay, she was still weak but able to go home.  In less than 24 hours, she suffered another heart attack at home and was rushed to the hospital again. Her stent had failed and during the procedure to replace it, she suffered another major heart attack.  The doctors decided it was best to be placed under an induced coma on life support with a ventilator and internal heart pump, as to help take off some stress from her heart doing all of the work. She has since been transferred to a wonderful heart hospital.  Her recovery has been a series of baby steps forward as well as massive complications.  As I look forward, I know my mother's life will now be and must be different than it was before.  She needs to heal her BIG HEART before she can serve her beloved pet community again.  To serve that end goal, this Go Fund Me page is being set up to create "one less thing to worry about" for her.  As an entrepreneur and single mom of me and my little brother Alexander (7 years old), finances have always been tight. The funds from this page will be used to directly pay for continued life sustaining medicines, doctors appointments, medical testing and hospital bills she will encounter on this long road to full recovery.  My mom is a fighter! I know she will be back to helping others, probably even before she should.  So many have reached out offering help, so I am setting this up as one way to assist.  Please keep her and my family in your thoughts and prayers.
