Help PPE Guatemala

Dear extended family members, and friends who might be reading this message. About a year or so ago, through the generous contributions from many of you; we were able to both, provide a certain amount of assistance, and convey our love and concern for people in the nation of Guatemala, who were directly affected by the Fuego Volcano devastating eruption.
I am yet again; humbly requesting your support. So, that we all as a group may provide much needed assistance to many of the medical professionals residing in Guatemala that include physicians, nurses and aides. in the exercise of their duties, they themselves have become casualties of this invisible enemy; namely, COVID-19. To the dismay of many, as a direct result of the negligence of the local government.
As many of you may already know; I am a graduate from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Guatemala’s San Carlos University. I keep in close contact with fellow graduates mainly from my class; whom I consider to be my own kindred.
Each time, I receive notice that one of my brothers or sisters has lost their battle with COVID, as a collateral to this terrible ill. My heart breaks with despair. The saddest factor of this situation is that many of these casualties are quite preventable as this is in direct consequence of governmental apathy resulting in their lacking Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other vital medical supplies.
Despite the odds, and the likelihood of them contracting the virus through their patients; they fight onward and continue with the daunting task in the trenches at this time of uncertainty. Many of these professionals, have not even been paid adequately or at all. Yet, in allegiance to their oath, and their love for humanity they carry on.
Now, I humbly petition for your charitable contributions to this noble cause, in the end, the sum of individual effort, has the potential to translate into a powerful weapon for the greater good. No amount is too small. With these monies, we well be able to precure, and distribute facemasks and shields, gloves, and such; for their use by doctors, nurses and other personnel, whose viral load becomes exponential caring for patients, and much more so, without the proper equipment.
Doctor Hernan Ortiz, based in Guatemala, and his daughter Daniela; who are my points of contact there; and myself, will be personally responsible with the purchasing and distribution of such medical supplies. We are pledging to all who may be reading these remarks, that our stewardship in the administration of goods derived from your charity, will be carried with the upmost honesty and regard.
Again, may The God of your understanding bless you. If you are unable to assist with any monetary aid, we ask the favor of your prayers, and thoughts should you prefer so. It is my hope for this campaign to grow by leaps and bounds.

Mis amados familiares, amigos y personas que estén leyendo este mensaje. Hace más de un año que con la ayuda de todos ustedes pudimos hacer llegar un poquito de ayuda y amor a las personas en Guatemala que fueron víctimas de la erupción del volcán de fuego. Ahora una vez mas les pido de corazón me apoyen para poder llevar ayuda a los doctores que residen y ejercen en Guatemala, que con su ayuda podamos apoyar un poco ah esos médicos y enfermeras que se han convertido en víctimas del Covid 19 y de la negligencia del gobierno . Como muchos saben yo me gradué de médico en Guatemala y siempre mantengo contacto con todos los compañeros médicos a los cuales considero mis hermanos. Cada día me rompe el corazón recibir la noticia que uno de los hermanos médicos y enfermeras han perdido la batalla en contra del Coronavirus por no tener el equipo de protección adecuada. Ya perdí la cuenta de estas lamentables pérdidas , y aun así los demás hermanos doctores y enfermeras siguen cuidando pacientes, arriesgando sus vidas día a día sin la adecuada protección médica. El gobierno no ha respondido adecuadamente ante el personal de salud. Algunos ni pago han recibido. Ahora con humildad estoy abogando a su bondad y amor que tienen hacia la humanidad para que me ayuden con lo que puedan colaborar . De dólar en dólar se juntan fondos para comprar mascarillas y equipo de protección para los médicos y enfermeras Guatemaltecos. Nuevamente y conjuntamente con mi gran hermano el Dr. Hernan Ortiz , su hija la licenciada en Psicología Daniela Ortiz y voluntarios que residen en Guatemala nos responsabilizamos de comprar y manejar los fondos honradamente como lo hicimos con las víctimas del volcán. Ellos son mi apoyo en Guatemala, y yo el de ellos aquí en USA. Ellos se encargaran personalmente de comprar y llevar el equipo de protección a los médicos y enfermeras que más lo necesiten , los fondos serán utilizados solo para eso y como siempre estaré publicando videos y fotos cuando se entregue el equipo de protección médico.
Nuevamente que Dios les bendiga y si no pueden ayudar monetariamente, por favor ayuden orando y los que no creen en oraciones manden por favor pensamientos positivos para que esta campaña crezca y podamos ayudar a los médicos que son la clave esencial para ayudar a que la comunidad tengan los doctores suficientes para proporcionarles el cuidado médico adecuado que ellos necesitan y de esta manera se logre reducir la cantidad de vidas que se pierden día a día en los hospitales.
