Emersyn's Memorial

Donation protected
May 15, 2004, was a glorious day for the Aurich family as Emersyn Ray Aurich was born. From the moment she was born everyone knew she was special. It wasn’t until she was 1-year old that Emersyn was diagnosed with Loeys-Dietz syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the connective tissue in the body. Emersyn was an absolute ray of light from the moment she entered this world always bringing smiles to everyone’s faces and reminding those who got to meet her of the glory of God.

Emersyn’s life was not easy as she faced over 20 surgeries in her 16 years of life. She had surgery to repair her clubbed feet, fuse her neck vertebrae, repair her enlarged aorta at 4 years old, mend a brain aneurysm at 11 years old, fuse the vertebra in her spine at 14, and many more. All of these surgeries allowed for Emersyn to lead as normal of a life as possible with Loeys-Dietz syndrome.

She was born into a beautiful family with two loving parents Dana and Robert Aurich who would do anything for their youngest daughter. She was also adored by three older sisters Morgan, Payton, and Regan. Emersyn lived and extraordinary life full of joy, laughter, and adventure. Despite experiencing great trials throughout her life, she never complained and persevered as the brightest light the world has ever seen.

After two years of great health, on the early morning of July 7th Emersyn was rushed into the hospital with a dissecting Aorta. She was immediately operated on and began making another miraculous recovery. For an unknown reason on July 15th, Emersyn’s heart stopped beating. Thanks to the amazing work of doctors and nurses she was able to be brought back from this traumatic event, but the toll on her fragile body was too great. On the 25th of July at 9:21 pm, surrounded by her family, Emersyn passed away. She is finally now free of any pain and at peace in heaven.

There will never be enough words to describe Emersyn’s beautiful miraculous life as she was a light in everyone’s life. She is remembered by a tremendously large family and an extensive number of friends. No one will ever forget this courageous, strong girl and the impact she made throughout her 16 years on this earth. We are now working on a fundraiser to help raise money for the expenses to come in the upcoming weeks and for a memorial in her honor. So many people were changed by the life of Emersyn Ray Aurich. She will never be forgotten and her light continues to shine for eternity.
