Cancer Fund For Frank Day ( A.K.A Daddy Frank)

Donation protected
This is our Poppa. Frank Day. The first man I’ve ever loved and The hardest working man I’ve ever known. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone who could or would have something bad to say about him. My Father is 69 yrs old and has worked his whole life as a flooring contractor. After he served his country as an tank mechanic in the Army. I know I’m biased but you can ask anyone who knows him. He is the best husband to his wife of 48 years. The best father to his son and two daughters, a great Pappy to his 8 grandchildren not to mention great Brother. He is also great friend to everyone in his circle. He would and will give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.  He has been suffering on and off with some side belly pain over the last few months and on several occasions  went to the hospitals and his general Doctor and they found nothing wrong. Fast forward two weekends ago to a guys weekend golf trip to Kentucky with his best buds and the pain come back, but worse this  time than before. His buddies convinced him to let them take him to the VA hospital there. He told them to drop him off not wanting to waste their time. There for 12 hours alone he heard the Devastating news. It was Cancer. They found a cancerous tumor in his liver. He cut his golf trip short and come back and had to share the news with his wife and then called us children over to tell us. Since then he has had many test, blood work and PET scan. Then the delivery of even more horrible news. The cancer started in his pancreas and has spread to his liver, they also believe that it is started to spread to his lung. He has a liver biopsy scheduled soon and will get information then but if you know anything about cancer this is the worst one to get.  Our Dad is a Proud man who has worked for everything he has ever had in his life. He was absolutely against any fundraising. We had to talk him into letting us set up this page for him and it wasn’t easy. The only insurance he has is the insurance he gets through the The VA. He is in a lot of pain and having a lot of shortness of breath now. Leaving him unable to work. My parents income now consist solely of the social security they get.  Due to Covid the hospitals are back logged taking care of everything that was put on hold. The V.A. ordered his last test S.A.T and it took them a week to get it scheduled. And that was after the hospital lost his scans from Kentucky for a week. I know the doctors are doing their best but that best is not good enough for us. He deserves the best treatment and care possible.  We are wasting precious time and if taking him elsewhere gets him better & quicker care we will have to pay out of pocket. We are hoping to raise money for his medical and living expenses to sustain them through this nightmare. He has only asked of us ( his children) for two things. No matter what happens be there for each other and take care of our Mom. He says the only thing he needs now is his Family. But he also needs prayers. Donate if you can & Please Pray for our Daddy.  Thank you, Danny Day, Dawn Bennett, Donna Day
