Not the news we wanted to share with everyone, but Cesar’s cancer has come back. Cesar was originally diagnosed with Adenocarinoma of the Urachus (the tissue that connects your belly button to your bladder) in December 2019. We were hopeful because it was caught early and the doctor was confident he would be able to remove the whole tumor and Cesar would just need chemo to kill any cancer cells that may not of been caught on the CT scan.

January 24, 2020 Cesar went in for his surgery and as hoped, it was successful and the doctor reported clean margins. He started a 12 round chemo treatment one month later and all was going well. Cesar was able to function pretty much as normally as he had before. On May 4th we went to the Urologist so that the doctor could perform a Cystoscopy to check the bladder to make sure it was healing properly. On that day all looked great and it felt amazing to get that news.

Unfortunately, shortly after that appointment Cesar began having pain in his lower abdominal area. Many calls to his doctors, prescriptions, and appointments later Cesar’s pain started to become unbearable and on July 14 Cesar went in for another CT scan to try and figure out where the pain and blood was coming from. By July 16th the results came back and we were devastated to find out that the tumor had grown back, larger and more aggressive than before and also spread into his lymph nodes. On July 21st, Cesar had his second surgery where the urologist went in to the bladder to scrape away as much of the tumor as possible to ease Cesars pain and bleeding.

July 30th is Cesars 1st of 15 radiation treatments to try and stop the growth and shrink the tumor enough so that it stops interfering with his everyday life. Not long after he finishes his 15th radiation treatment, we will jump right back into chemo and hopefully with this 1-2-punch approach we will have kicked this cancers ass! It’s so heartbreaking, but Cesar is not defeated, especially with the amount of support he has behind him.

We'd like to thank everyone in advance for your support and donations during this time when we know many people are struggling themselves. Cez has been so strong through all of this and has so much more life to live, with the help of friends and family we will continue to #fightforcez as hard as we can.
