Program Details:
Based on available funds, non-repayable, financial support will be provided; up to $100.00 (grown/no children) and $200.00 (raising children) to eligible applicants; through an online application and review process. Applications will be reviewed and decided by a volunteer Committee, made up of our Board Members.

Eligibility:
Caribbeans and Caribbean-Canadians CURRENTLY residing in Canada; in need of one-time financial support due to a crisis or an emergency situation; and don’t have enough money for BASIC NECESSITIES, like food and housing.

Your Donation Options:
1. Click the orange 'Donate' button to make/send your donation via gofundme.
2. Etransfer your donation, via online banking, to [email redacted], password: emergency.  (Etransfers will be manually added/accounted for in the emergency fund.)
3.  Your donation will be considered a personal gift and is not guaranteed to be tax-deductible, but you can always check with a tax professional to be sure.  Tax receipts are not issuable.

Important info for Applicants:

1. This Emergency Financial Assistance Program is premised on a shared, community HONOUR SYSTEM; aimed at tackling the barriers to financial support.

2. Based on this HONOUR SYSTEM, we trust that those who have the means will seek out other alternatives, leaving this Emergency Financial Assistance Program for individuals who have no other options.

3. This Emergency Financial Assistance Program is limited. Utilizing community donations, we will continue to provide funds for as long as we can; but recognize that this is not a sustainable solution.

4. To respect the privacy and dignity of individuals, we will never publish the names of the recipients, but will give periodic updates to our community on the number of people who have been assisted by this Emergency Financial Assistance Program.
