Essential Tools for Distance Learning

Students whose parents are essential agricultural workers in the 805, need your help immediately!

Before these under-served/underrepresented children living in our neighborhoods start the new school year in the coming weeks, they need the right tools to learn from home.

As you and I depend on essential workers and the support of their families; these students depend on school resources, which will be limited during distance learning.  Distance learning affects all students, especially migrant students. Elementary and middle school students need supplies at home to have the possibility of succeeding. Due to obvious reasons, headphones, are important key factor overlooked in our community.

Where do you come in?

Students will be able to focus on instruction and communicate better with headphones that include a microphone feature.  Many students live in multi-family homes without a quiet location for Zoom / Skype / Virtual meetings.
Headphones will allow students to concentrate and communicate with classmates and teachers.

Please consider donating to our low-income, hard working (Sunrise to Sundown) farm working families in the 805. We will be passing out the student headphones and school supplies in Oxnard on Sunday, August 9th in collaboration with De Campesinos A Campesinos.  We will be able to pass out 600 school supply packages when we meet the goal.
