As many of you know we are scheduled to leave Mexico on July 1st and fly to Poland (July 3) to start our new jobs, which begin on July 13th. Like many others, our flights were cancelled under the claim of COVID-19. Now, we are in need of help to get to Poland. We have not yet been refunded the amount we paid for our flights, baggage fees and meals.
The prices for flight are now more than twice the previous amount. It is with great difficulty and embarrassment that we appeal to you for help fund our flights. As of July 1st we will no longer have a home. We are doing everything we can to fund our flight, but the longer we wait, the more expensive they become.
If you are so inclined to help, any amount would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE:7/4/2020
We arrived in Fort Lauderdale Airport to board our flight to Poland. We were prevented from boarding the plane because Americans have been banned from Germany and the flight we were supposed to take from Germany to Poland was cancelled. We are currently stuck in Ft Lauderdale and unsure of what our next step will be. I’ve been trying to get things figured out with Expedia, but have been getting the run around and basically getting no where on rescheduling our flights. In the meantime, we are trying to figure out where we will stay until we can leave. We were flying Air Canada. According to them, the next flight they have to Poland is on August 1st. We are praying that we will be able to leave the US and make it to Poland long before then. Please keep sharing our post. On top of needing to pay for flights, we now have housing and food to pay for in the US.
