What is Genesis....
Due to start in August 2021, Genesis Community Arts Center works to enhance creativity and comradery by supporting and mentoring young, underprivileged artists in the Nashville area, while also engaging the community to promote widespread self expression and appreciation in any medium.
What happens at Genesis...
This project focuses on establishing individual creative practices in children, regardless of medium, through an after school arts program, community classes, private lessons and a variety of live monthly events.
Genesis CAC centers around the organization of an after school arts programs for a small group of 10-15 income qualified students. This after school program hinges on developing a reputation as a community arts venue by providing live events and general arts classes as a source for funding.
The future of Genesis...
Continuing the original objectives of Genesis as an after school arts program, and venue for artistic development, our main long term goals would be to fundraise enough to move to a large venue and double the size of our after school program to about 20-30 students. We would also like to start expanding opportunities to local up-and-coming artists to teach classes in their respective mediums.

Kayla Jenkins, Multimedia Artist and Entrepreneur.
I am an independent multi-media artist and painter, servicing modern home-owners across the United States to fulfill their needs for personalized, original artwork. I also provide a monthly art subscription kit called, Colorstudy, that focuses on providing the materials and instruction for children and adults to create their own works of art at home.
Genesis CAC is a fiscally sponsored project of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, a nonprofit organization. Contributions on behalf of Genesis CAC should be made payable to the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
