Help Brittany & her family's fight against cancer
Donation protected
Brittany is a 31 year old, dedicated mother of three and amazing wife to Luke Rechsteiner. Anyone who knows Brittany, knows she is the most selfless, generous & caring person. Always taking care of everyone around her. Now it is our turn to take care of her.
Beginning of April 2019, Brittany started to have some stomach pain and went to the doctor to have it checked out. After running several tests, scans and ultrasounds they found a tennis ball size mass on her ovaries. She was immediately sent for a biopsy and began a torturous & stressful two week wait for the results. The doctor had mentioned cyst but also the possibility of cancer. On April 29, Brittany received her results. She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stage 4 ovarian cancer. The words no one ever wants to hear.
Next steps involve putting together the best treatment plan possible with the oncology team in Vancouver. Further testing is required to pin point the right treatment needed. Treatment will involve chemotherapy and a full hysterectomy. The surgery will need to be performed in Vancouver. Updates to follow.
It is hard to ask for help but, at times, this is the only way forward. Any level of contribution will be an enormous support to prop them up through a very challenging time..
