Oak Island Strong

Hello OKI family, my name is Alli and I am a former resident of OKI. My parents still live on E beach Dr. In such a devastating time, I want to help as much as I can. Not only is Oak Island beautiful but has the most beautiful people who live there. Oak Island is more than a vacation spot, it is a strong community and family. Oak Island was hit directly on Aug 3rd around 8 PM from hurricane Isaias. In such a scary storm the residents and visitors were hit with surges at 5 feet, 90 mph winds, rain and fires on the island. We want to restore the Island and give back to as many residents as we can. I will be collecting the money and buying gift cards to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, food lion, Publix’s, etc and walking around and handing them out. It might not be much but it could be everything to someone. The photos don’t do any justice to what this storm has down to this beautiful island and residents, I hope for the light at the end of tunnel. We are OKI strong!❤️
