Our Move For Misión Mexico Challenge

Each December, Misión México holds a Giving Tuesday / Big Give Campaign. This November also marks Misión México's 20th anniversary. In honor of our anniversary and our Big Give Campaign we are holding what has come to be known as the Move for Misión México - 20/20/20 Challenge.
What is the 20/20/20 Challenge - as a Global Family, we will be covering 20,000 kilometres on foot, bike, in the water, any way you can think, while working together to raise £20,000, all in honor of their 20th anniversary!
What will the money fund - Misión Mexico's Education Program, which will support 60 children and young adults through school, university and work training programs in 2021. Education drop out rates are very high in Mexico and corruption plagues a very well funded public education system. Only about 45% of students in Mexico end up finishing secondary school. Our Misión Mexico Education Program ensures our children and young adults have the opportunities to accomplish their educational goals. In addition, we have begun two outreach programs to help support and fund the educational needs of kids in our local community.
For the 20/20/20 Challenge, each supporter has been encouraged to create a personal challenge, unique to their abilities, to help reach our global distance and fundraising goals. I have decided to talk my pal Nicole Emery, and a few others into joining my personal challenge.
What our challenge looks like - As of 20 July, Nikki and I are each aiming to run 20km per week, for 20 weeks. Clocking a total of 800 km´s between us. Nikki will cover her km´s from England, whereas mine will all take place in Mexico. I have total faith that Nikki will run every km, I might end up walking a fair few seeing as i have been for TWO very short runs so far in 2020.
How can you support us - our fundraising page will be open for the duration of the 20-week challenge. You can help us to reach our goal over that time by making a donation if you have the means. If not, no problem - just sharing this fundraising page with your network is also a huge help! You can also opt to join our team challenge and help us clock additional km´s to work towards Misión Mexico´s global goal of 20,000 km.
Some minor details - We are raising this money through GoFundMe leading up to Misión Mexico´s Big Give campaign that takes place between Dec 1-8. This GoFundMe will end that week and I will send all donations to Misión Mexico global campaign. The good news? The funds we raise here, will be DOUBLED when sent to the global campaign thanks to some very generous Misión Mexico supporters!
