Help Provide Meals for Villages

$1 = ~50 Philippine pesos (php)
One burger costs ~35 php
$10 can buy ~14 meals, but since Jollibee is matching the amount, it can buy ~28 meals!!!

Hello everyone!

I am fundraising for an organization in the Philippines, Pakainin ang buong Barangay (translation: Feeding the Whole Village). While the Filipino government tries to contain the spread of COVID-19 with a Luzon-wide quarantine, this group has been volunteering to provide free meals to the most affected communities.  Many are out of work and cannot afford to feed their families, and this organization strives to help feed as many people as possible for the upcoming months.

Fortunately, Pakainin ang buong Barangay has come to an agreement with Jollibee Corporation (a popular Filipino fast food restaurant) - the Jollibee Foundation will match the amount meals they order for the villages! So far, Pakainin ang buong Barangay has been able to provide over 20,000 meals (including how many meals Jollibee has matched) in the following locations: 

-Barangay Bungad
-Bagong Silang
-Barangay Manggahan
-Barangay Tumana
-Barangays in Valenzuela
-Barngay Kalusugan
-Barangay Greenhills
-Barangay West Crame
-Barangay Pansumaloc
-Barangay Pulong Bayabas
-Barangay Gawad Kalinga

However, this effort needs to be continuously funded, as the weeks continue and more meals need to be distributed. Please consider donating to this cause. Please do not feel pressured to donate if you are out of a job, facing financial hardships, have been displaced, etc., but I urge you to please share this message, so that more money can be fundraised.
