Can you help Clare Rice?

Hi and thanks so much for reading,
If you know Clare you may or may not know that she has been very poorly recently, in particularly over the last few months. She has been in and out of hospital and had numerous specialist appointments, but unfortunately due to the nature of her illness and the severe lack of knowledge around it, she has received very little help and has been sent away on many occasions with no real answers or plans to move forward.
As well as other debilitating health conditions, including ME and Fibromyalgia, Clare is currently suffering from severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS).
MCS is an adverse physical reaction to low levels of many common chemicals. It is a chronic recurring disease caused by a persons inability to tolerate an environmental chemical or class of foreign chemicals. These can include foods, solvents, perfumes, fuels, smoke, EMF, and any other chemicals in general.
MCS is a complex issue and widely misunderstood, even dismissed completely by some Doctors and Professionals.
Symptoms are diverse and can cause neurological impairments, respiratory issues, muscular difficulties, cardiovascular problems and also gastrointestinal complaints.
Clare's condition at the moment is so severe that she is pretty much confined to her bedroom. She can only tolerate a handful of different foods which has caused her to lose a considerable amount of weight, leaving her even more unwell. She is unable to sit on her own settee due to her reacting to chemicals on it. If shes having a good day she can tolerate a short walk if only wearing a respiratory mask. Clare is unable to even have family or friends inside her home, due to her severe allergy type reactions to scents and chemicals that linger. As you can imagine, this is having a profound effect on her mental health and making the situation even more challenging. This is utterly heartbreaking for all of her friends and family, which is the reason why we have started up this page and to reach out to the wider community for some help and support!
Currently there is no treatment for this type of illness within the NHS. Clare's only hope is to go down the private route which is both lengthy and costly. To see a private consultant fees start from £300+ just for an hours consultation. Clare will also require numerous tests, which again are not currently available via the NHS. There is no known cure for this illness so Clare will require ongoing long term treatment and support.
Our Immediate mission is to make Clare as comfortable as possible in her own home. This will mean investing in a specialized anti allergy bed and sofa, which will at least improve on her quality of life.
There are two private allergy and environmental clinics that we know of in the UK that specialize and treat people like Clare. Unfortunately this level of specialized care is financially out of reach for most people, even with family and friends chipping in. The first lot of treatment on its own costs roughly £2000. This is the long term aim!!
Clare is always there for other people and now we want to give back. All we want is to help her gain some normality back into her life. To be able to do the little things that we all take for granted. Being able to hug and kiss her own children without suffering for it. Seeing friends and family, a visit to the shops, dining out, or just simply being able to sit and relax in her own home.
