A Shelter for the Homeless
Hello, my name is Regan. I am a local high school student. This year I took on a project to get more involved with the homeless, working with organizations like Love INC. As I’ve listened to different people telling me their stories of struggle, I’ve come to see them not just as random strangers, but neighbors. Our neighbors. It’s easy to forget that we have a homeless problem in our little communities since we rarely see them on the street corners with signs. Recently, there’s been momentum building towards getting a shelter functioning, but we’re not there yet. Winter’s coming. Please be part of the solution! Services range from advocacy and meeting basic needs to homeless prevention and permanent housing placement for those who are literally homeless. Our service area includes the entire Kenai Peninsula Borough of Alaska. We are an affiliate of a national organization
