Hello, everyone! My name is Cory (or Amantè, my chosen name), 24, and I've come to gofundme to ask for help with moving out on my own.
My mom is possibly taking a job out of state, which I do hope she gets because she sounds like she really wanted it, so I will be moving in together with my best friend, who also needs this as much as I do.
I've been needing my own space for quite some time, and I've been held back by a couple factors — mainly lack of finances, or just unable to save up enough and other things taking priority, and my mental health; depression and anxiety.
I would love to finally gain some freedom and privacy, and any amount helps me get to that goal.
Some info about me: I love writing, reading and playing video games, I have pretty simple hobbies. I have a calico cat that I adore, Copper, and she's two years old.
What I'd like to do in the future? Possibly building up a gaming channel on YouTube. I have my favorite gamers, as we all do, but there's just not enough of them that are black, and I want to help fill that gap. I enjoy playing/talking about games and want extend my enjoyment to others.
My plans? With this money, I will be using it to uphold my half of the rent and any bills I need to pay.
Along with that, purchase any furniture/appliances that I may need and any needed art supplies as it's pretty theraputic so I can build an etsy shop. Luckily, I do have a job right now, but the low pay just isn't enough to hold up rent on its own, so hopefully, this money will be used for housing needs alone while I save up enough for later on.
There's not much for me to say here because I usually try to get to the point as quickly as possible. I honestly just need financial help in getting some overdue space for myself. Space to be creative in the way that I want and space to relax in the way that I want.
Personally, the time for me to move was some time ago and I just couldn't get a solid grasp on what I needed to do. Anyone who donates has no idea how much they would be helping me.
