Our dear friend Catja Wilson (aka Cat Love) has been stranded in South Africa ever since the Covid outbreak. It's extremely difficult and expensive for her to arrange a flight back home to Canada.
Cat is required to register with the Canadian Embassy in South Africa in order to be put on a flight list, but she can't that until she has the money together to purchase a one-way ticket that costs roughly six times the normal price.
The total cost for traveling home is an estimated $4,000 CAD. So this campaign is just to help cover the costs, and we need the funds ASAP so that she can begin the process.
