Spotty is the second dog we ever got and is now around 7 years old. He lives permanently at the Wet Nose Rescue , an independent rescue centre in Costa Rica.
Despite Costa Rica having strict rules against animal abuse the government doesn't have a budget to contribute towards the never ending issue of street dogs and it is left in the hands of those who choose to fight for animals here in Costa Rica. The Wet Nose is one such place. We focus on foster and rehabilitation, socialising dogs and cats making them adoptable.
Spotty developed a lump on his leg and we noticed when it was about the size of a walnut. It didn't seem to bother him but we watched it grow and now that it is larger than a golf ball it is imperative that we operate to have it removed before it becomes inoperable.
Spotty is a sporty dog, loves to jump and run, he is slender and happy and losing mobility in his leg would affect his quality of life.
Help us to raise funds for him so that we can have him operated on sooner rather than later.
