PWHP (People Who Help People)

PWHP (People Who Help People) is a faith based nonprofit organization founded in 2019, with a mission to restore faith and heal brokenness through helping those in a time of need. In the US where there is an abundance of resources, there are still individuals and families who struggle to stay afloat, especially when hit with unforeseen expenses as a result of COVID-19, hurricanes, death, illness, etc. In a country where the inequities can be vast, the concept should be engrained in our lifestyle for each of us to lend a helping hand when and where we can. We believe that by coming together, we can ease the financial burden placed on the shoulders of those in need and offer a moment of relief and restoration of faith. The funds raised for this organization will be utilized to help people facing real every day challenges. Assistance will be provided for those: - Financially impacted by COVID (layoffs, unreimbursed medical expenses, funeral expenses, etc.) - Natural Disaster Recovery (i.e. Hurricanes, Fires, etc.) - Unreimbursed medical expenses/emergencies (i.e. Cancer, etc.) - Essential needs (i.e. utilities, groceries, etc.) Rest assured that an application process will be completed and vetted by all applicants seeking to receive funds. There will be no funds paid directly to an individual. Payments will be made directly to debtors or vendor gift cards. Any one who donates will also be provided access to the PWHP private page to see updates on the families that your donation has helped! PWHP is in process of obtaining 501(c)(3) status. Any donations to this fund will not be tax deductible until status is approved. It is recommended that if tax deductibility is a hindrance to donating that you consult with a tax professional as tax deductible benefits may only apply if you utilize itemized deductions and otherwise may still not be applicable.
