Gender Confirmation Surgery Fund

Hey Everyone,
I was hoping to set up this GFM to undergo bottom surgery (SRS/Gender Confirmation) to finalize my journey medically transitioning.
I was approved to be on the waitlist for Bottom surgery this year by my insurance, but there have been significant delays due to COVID and I don’t want to end up stuck with an inexperienced surgeon performing this life changing procedure just because they’re in network.
Anyone who knows me knows how much pride I have and how challenging asking for help is. I have been on HRT for 7 years, saved up to pay for my FFS and top surgery while in college, work full time, am active in my community, and mind my business. Being an openly Black trans woman in tech has come with a ton of challenges and this would be first step in building the confidence to overcome.
This fund would primarily support finding a private surgeon for my final transition surgeries but would also support general transition related costs like laser and wardrobe. Any residual funds from the surgeon’s fee would go towards housing costs during recovery and time off work.
This would allow me to complete my degree, passions, and hobbies such as yoga, roller skating, dancing, and swimming without anxiety or dysphoria. I do my best to reinvest in my community and causes I believe in and would be eternally grateful to receive your support.
