Help Get Resources to Hawaiʻi's Local Communities

During these uncertain times, we must rely on our community’s ability to heal within. We must come together as one ʻohana and support local organizations, especially nonprofits that have been serving our communities for years. This is crucial during a time when policies at all levels of government endanger the work of nonprofits and worrisome trends have been developing regarding charitable giving.
We are creating a resource website, founded by Hawaiʻi’s very own high school and college students, who are aching to see change within our communities. Together, we can make a difference by ensuring that those who are less fortunate have access to the resources they so desperately need during this global pandemic.
We urge you to donate today, sign up to volunteer with us, or contact us for assistance through our website. As kanaka of Hawaiʻi, we understand our kūleana to you all. We are pushing for a better Hawaiʻi; a Hawaiʻi where communities within our lāhui can truly support one another.
Nonprofits have provided for Hawaiʻi’s communities for decades. From the Queen’s Medical Center to the YMCA of Honolulu, nonprofits have promoted civic engagement and met increasing public needs through times of hardship and success. Now it is time for us to give back to those nonprofits.
Where will your money go?
First, towards creating and distributing flyers for less fortunate members of Hawaiʻi’s communities so that they know what resources are available for them. Second, towards managing and constructing our student-led resource website. Third, towards providing supplies to communities affected by COVID-19 through our outreach program. Fourth, towards ensuring that other nonprofit organizations are able to connect with as many community members as possible.
Once we've gained more funding, we will increase our direct community outreach and provide more supplies to our houseless population and other at-risk groups, such as our kūpuna and differently abled kanaka. We also plan to create a COVID-19 Relief Fund with the help of our nonprofit partners and donors like you!

As a student-led, volunteer driven, unincorporated nonprofit organization, we are creating a comprehensive resource website that supports other nonprofits in their mission to reach communities and households that urgently need help with food accessibility, health, and education among other things.
