Books for BW Bulldogs!

We want our Bryant Webster Bulldogs to read! We want them to develop habits that will make them lifelong readers! One of those habits is owning books.  Unfortunately, especially in these times, many of our families struggle to keep food on the table and a roof over head. Books are a luxury they simply can't afford.

For more than a decade, students at Bryant Webster have been given books by Book Trust, a very generous philanthropy that focuses on getting books into the hands of kids. Funds from this organization have allowed each student to purchase a brand new Scholastic Book every month. The philanthropy has paid 80% of this, and the school pays 20%.

We have recently received two very sad pieces of information: 

1) Because of COVID, Book Trust will only be servicing students in grades ECE-3 this year. Older students will not be able to participate. 
2) Bryant Webster is no longer able to afford the 20% contribution, which would be about $3500 this year. 

We cannot bear to think that our students will lose the opportunity to choose and own books. For that reason, we’ve set up this Go Fund Me. Our first goal is to raise the $3500 to allow our ECE-3rd grade students to participate in Book Trust. After that, we hope to raise an additional $70 per student, so our 4th-8th graders can participate. Please help us if you can!
