Virtual Haw River Learning Celebration Fundraiser

The Haw River Assembly is raising money for our Virtual Haw River Learning Celebration video project! For 30 years we have put on this fantastic river education program, bringing over 48,000 children to "The GREATEST Field Trip Ever! But this year, due to Covid -19 we're taking it online! We're creating 6 episodes on video to capture the wonder and magic of the interactive programs we do each fall on the river with 4th-graders from our watershed.
Some of our most knowledgeable volunteers and staff will be demonstrating Wild Clay, River Monitoring, Nature Art Rocks!, Water Protection, and the Plants and Animals who call the Haw River home! We also have performances by the creative artists of Paperhand Puppet - and the beauty of the Haw River to show you. Chris Carter will be our River Guide, showing us amazing sights and sounds of the natural world as we walk along the river with him. Videography is by Fred Tutman, and music by Jonathan Henderson.
Help us bring this terrific project to thousands of schoolchildren in our watershed this fall (and to all who would like to see it). We have now completed almost all of the editing on the videos and are uploading them to Vimeo!
