Help Us Build a Community Art & Nature Preserve

Donation protected
Imagine a residential area where calm and cool coexist. A place where the wild and untamed are liberated, while the prim and proper finds pockets of delight. This place is called Seeds of Love Art and Nature Preserve

Located in the Midwest in a bowl lined with conifer forests and ferns, Seeds of Love Art and Nature Preserve is a sanctuary dedicated to the restoration, conservation, promotion of nature through regenerative agriculture, well being and art.

In 2015, I created and self-funded this ongoing  project with the intention of healing the soil and building an off the grid earth dwelling with lush natural habitats that improves the wildlife diversity. The goal is to create and facilitate a healing space for community residents.  As with any new endeavor, there were challenges and resistance from the city and neighbors, who were unable to see my vision of creating an educational and recreational amenity for the community.

I am choosing to set up a GoFundMe campaign to help further this vision and plans for Seeds of Love Art and Nature Preserve. The proceeds of this proposed phased approach are as follows:

PHASE 1 - FOUNDATION 50k
Disaster Relief funds for the Derecho damage (Land hurricane damage)
Interview and hire bio remediation experts to assist in the transformational healing of the land
Assist in wetland restoration. (This involves pairing up with local businesses to gain access to native wetland seed and plant varieties)
Beautification
Water irrigation for vegetable, rain harvesting, native grass and herb gardens
Soil testing throughout the soil healing process
Documentation of this process
Landscaping and terracing for erosion control along forests edge

PHASE 2 –  DEVELOPMENT 50k
PHASE 3 –  BUILDING   50k
PHASE 4 –  PLANTING  50k

PHASES 2 - 4  focus on the design, construction and build of these onsite earth friendly structures, offering a show room for future living and potential art residencies. These structures will consist of a harmonious livable showroom, green houses and plant/meditation rooms for guests. Each phase as it approaches will be shared in depth once funding opens. Here is a brief preview of things in the phases to come.

·      Hiring an architect to collaborate on an ancient futurist design
·      Mapping, landscaping and the construction of a natural living structure to                   demonstrate what a reimagined livable future can look like. This includes                     methods that move toward a (w)holistic approach in regards to
       materials and design.
·      Permits and city fees for our livable showroom structure and green houses .
·      Installation and prep for herbal, pollinator, native and edible gardens

Time is of the essence now as I am facing pressure from the city to make changes to the property that do not align with my vision. In addition, land developers are now interested in bulldozing this residential forest for high-end houses. This trend will not only deteriorate natural habitats, but also healing spaces for residents. Additional funding for this project will help me speed up the process of formalizing my plans for this residential nature, art, wellness, reserve.

Your help would benefit wildlife, people and the environment.
