The Orphanage That Had Nothing But Love To Give 

West Africa is ranked under the 20th poorest country in the world.  Throwing myself in to the unknown but faith alone lead me to the right people and more importantly children.  I found them and they found me.

Arriving at the Orphanage was an eye opener.  The first words I heard when I stepped out of the car was come and eat, come and eat - the voices of children echoed.  Their caring nature did not come unnoticed.  On my journey in Gambia, there was nothing but smiles all day long from the children. 

The reality was they had nothing, barely enough food which is shared in an open metal bowl, no beds but using dirty sponges as bed mattress which is limited and does not accommodate the 80 children who resides in the Orphanage.  There are no blankets, showers or toilets, no clean drinking water and the children are currently drinking water from a dirty well.  The building and roofing is in great need of repairs and the Orphanage has a food debt which they need to pay after loaning food from a local shop keeper.

The funds will be used to provide the following:

·         Clean water system, sewage system and drains
·         Installation of drinking water pipes, plumbing
·         Washroom with 10 Showers, 10 Toilets and wash basins
·         Bed mattress and blankets
·         Food bill debt
·         Food bill for the year
·         Solar panels, lighting and wiring
·         Installation
·         Solar Pumping System Article which includes water bore
·         Completion of building, roofing and repairs
·         Medical care
·         Toiletries and Clothes

No child should wonder if they are going to receive a meal each day.  All children deserve to be clean and every child deserve clean water to drink.

My passion and aim is to help and to support the children in the Orphanage in Gambia by improving their lives for a better future because they are the future.

An Orphan child is still a person, an orphan child is still a boy or girl, an orphan child is still someones son or daughter even if their parents are in heaven.

This Orphanage is in great need and the basic necessity are missing and the £24,000 is a goal start to give back the smiles they give us, humanity is a requirement in all children lives.
