Iver Makeup Academy: Module 1 SFX makeup

Hi,
I have been accepted a place to train as a hair and makeup artist with the Iver Academy at Pinewood Studios! 

This was achieved by 6 years experience working self taught and building my working title 'Once upon a body' from the ground. 

I need help funding modules for specific upskilling training.
The 1st module is £1,700 for SFX makeup.


After starting off on a rocky road in life, with the death of my mum at 13, being sent away into foster care and failing all but 2 of my GCSE's; I have had to work my hardest to build a vision into my future. 
My early hardships meant that I was pushed back with my studies. I begged to get a place a college and study Performing Arts with the agreement that I re-take my GSCE's. This got me a place at University to study Drama. 

After graduating, I moved to Brighton and despite trying to make it as an actor, fell into an office job to pay off my university debts. After a bad relationship, I decided to dabble in face painting which grew into body painting. I was working 3 jobs at the time but still managed to see my full potential. 
During this time, I applied to train at the Iver Academy at Pinewood Studios...to my surprise I got a place!

That was nearly 4 years ago and I have not managed to get the correct help in funding for the full course so I have decided to train module by module.

I now live in Norfolk , work a full time job an I obviously have normal, every day bills to pays, a car to run and food to put on the table. Each module will be taken in my annual leave.


Once upon a body – I wanted there to be a connection from my childhood passion to transform into anything I want to be and my love for fairy tales. ‘Once upon a time…’ is the beginning to any story with the intention of escapism. Through ‘Once upon a Body’ I can create just that!

What does Once upon a Body offer?

I basically make fabulous people look grotesque or different…




It’s all about keeping the film and TV industry alive by giving every ounce of passion into what I do to create the BEST visual masterpieces.







The Iver Academy Advanced course runs over 8 months and starts at various times of the year.

·         Theatre and Performing Arts Portfolio building

·         Comprehensive Airbrushing and Advanced Beauty

·         Fashion Make-Up and Hair Artistry

·         Advanced Hair Artistry


(After the course, The Iver Make-Up Academy acts as an agency to find its graduates work, which provides some security, but also supports the beginning of my future. )

I am looking to start in September 2021.






This dream has taken over my life in such a way that I no longer see it as a dream, but a necessity.
It is something that has been running through my veins, day and night, keeping me alive.
Sponsorship and extra funding would mean more than the world to me.
This is a dream I have thought of and worked towards for over 4 years and not just woken up one day to discover it!
