Darker Truths In Strange Fiction Animation Studio

At Darker Truths in Strange Fiction we aim to expose a darker reality through fictional films and series. We want to bring awareness to mental health issues, and show all possible ways a person could break down, and the many reasons why a person can start on the road to a breakdown.
We are currently nearing the end of production of our first short film Haunter of the Woods about a girl with DID who goes without help or supervision from her parents. The creator Sebastien Hale, who is also the manager of the studio, lives with DID and knows what it's like to have a psychotic alter. He created this as an example of what a slow breakdown of an unaware system looks like, and what damage can be done when no one knows anything is wrong.
We also have two other projects in the works for which casting calls will be available by the end of the year.
First, another one from Seb, Operation Carnage: what happens when technology and social media is actually used against us? What if someone was feeding our paranoia, and giving us more information to firm our beliefs based on what we view? This secret organization doesn't make people snap, but they'll feed the paranoia until the best part happens, and then cover it up be feeding the president lines for his condolence speeches.
Second, Inner Woman; A Transtastical Adventure, created by Courtney RC, is an animated movie about a trans woman who goes into an abandoned forest to search for a cure for her dying girlfriend. She only has her best friend, a Blood Mage, and an Autistic guide, to help her. But a bitter Blood Mage and their Minions try to stop them. Meanwhile, the trans woman is dealing with an identity crisis as she feels (as an AMAB person) that she must take charge, while also feeling like she must always have the answers if she were “a real woman”. Only by accepting the validity of her gender can she save her girlfriend.
We need your help funding our projects so that we can pay our animators, artists, writers, musicians and voice actors. None of the money takes into account the work that Sebastien will be putting into all of the projects as he is trying to keep them as low budget as possible, but the cost will still be high.
Anyone who supports in any capacity will be able to attend an early screening of HOTW (if you support before the film's release), early access to each episode of OC, and an early screening of Inner Woman. We so appreciate all of your help and as an independent animation studio we cannot do this without you, so thank you for your help.
